The Moxa EDS-408A Series offers rugged, managed 8-port Ethernet switches designed for industrial networking in critical environments such as factory automation, transportation, energy, and smart infrastructure. The series supports a flexible combination of copper and fiber connections, with models offering up to three 100BaseFX fiber ports (SC or ST, multi- or single-mode) in addition to five 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports.

With built-in Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy (< 20 ms recovery time with 250 switches) and support for RSTP/STP, these switches ensure high availability. Network optimization is enabled through support for VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, bandwidth management, and port mirroring. Devices are easily configured via web interface, CLI, Telnet, serial console, or the ABC-01 module.

Select models are pre-configured for PROFINET or EtherNet/IP, making them ideal for integration into PLC and SCADA systems. The EDS-408A Series also supports seamless integration with tools such as MXstudio, FactoryTalk®, and SIMATIC STEP 7 using GSDML, AOI, and EDS files.

Engineered with IP30 metal housings, extended operating temperatures down to -40 °C (T models), certified EMC and shock resistance, and MTBF ratings over 1.25 million hours, these switches are built for long-term performance in the harshest industrial conditions.
