The Moxa EDS-408A Series includes industrial 8-port managed Ethernet switches designed for reliable network performance in harsh environments. Ideal for automation, energy, transportation, and infrastructure projects, these switches offer a robust feature set and high network availability.

Depending on the model, the series provides up to eight 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and up to three 100BaseFX fiber ports with SC or ST connectors in multi-mode or single-mode. Redundancy protocols such as Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain deliver recovery times under 20 milliseconds, with RSTP and STP also supported.

Advanced features include IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, port-based VLANs, GVRP, IGMP Snooping, QoS, RMON, bandwidth management, and port mirroring. The switches can be easily managed via web browser, CLI, Telnet, serial console, or the ABC-01 module. Visualized network monitoring is supported via MXstudio.

Models with EtherNet/IP or PROFINET are factory-configured for immediate integration into SCADA and PLC systems, supporting GSDML files, STEP 7 icons, EDS files, and FactoryTalk® View faceplates.

With a rugged IP30-rated metal housing, wide temperature range down to -40 °C (T models), and certifications such as EN 50121-4, NEMA TS2, ATEX, and DNV, the EDS-408A Series is engineered for long-term reliability in mission-critical networks.
