The Moxa EDS-408A Series includes rugged 8-port managed Ethernet switches engineered for demanding industrial environments. Ideal for factory automation, transportation, and power applications, these switches support Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy with recovery times under 20 milliseconds, along with RSTP and STP.

Depending on the model, the switches come with up to eight 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and additional 100BaseFX fiber ports with SC or ST connectors in multi-mode or single-mode configurations. This allows long-distance network extension with high flexibility. PN and EIP models are pre-enabled with PROFINET or EtherNet/IP for seamless integration into industrial control systems.

Key features include support for IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, port-based VLANs, GVRP, IGMP Snooping, and QoS. Comprehensive management options are available via web GUI, CLI, Telnet, serial console, or ABC-01. MXstudio is supported for visual network monitoring and diagnostics.

The switches feature a durable IP30-rated metal housing and are rated for -10 to 60 °C (standard) or -40 to 75 °C (T models). With certifications for railway, traffic, marine, and industrial environments, the EDS-408A Series is built for long-term reliability in harsh conditions.
