The Moxa EDS-405A Series offers a compact, cost-effective, and industrial-grade managed switch solution with 5 Ethernet ports and enhanced network management features. Designed for harsh environments, these switches support advanced redundancy, segmentation, and security protocols to meet the demands of automation, energy, and transportation systems.

Each model supports Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy technologies with recovery times under 20 ms (up to 250 switches), along with RSTP and STP. Users benefit from simplified management via web interface, CLI, Telnet, serial console, or Windows utility – including ABC-01 USB backup support.

With features like IGMP Snooping, port-based and IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, QoS, and SNMPv3, the switches enable secure and deterministic networking. PROFINET (PN) and EtherNet/IP (EIP) support come preconfigured on respective models, and PTPv2 hardware-based synchronization is available on PTP models.

Engineered for industrial deployment, EDS-405A switches are housed in rugged metal enclosures with IP30 protection and support either standard or wide-temperature ranges (-40 to 75 °C). DIN-rail mounting is standard, with optional wall mounting.
