The Moxa EDS-405A Series is a rugged and cost-effective solution for industrial Ethernet networks. These entry-level managed Layer 2 switches provide 5 ports and are engineered for automation environments requiring network reliability, seamless protocol integration, and advanced security.

Equipped with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain, the switches ensure ultra-fast network recovery (<20 ms) in redundant topologies. They also support RSTP/STP, VLANs (IEEE 802.1Q and port-based), QoS, IGMP snooping, and industrial protocols such as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP.

Management is made easy via browser, CLI, Telnet, serial console, SNMP, or the optional ABC-01 configuration adapter. Visual network diagnostics and topology management are available through MXstudio. Wide-temperature models are built for extreme conditions down to -40 °C.
