The Moxa EDS-208A-M-ST is an industrial Ethernet switch with 8 ports, specifically designed for use in demanding environments. It features 7 RJ45 ports for 10/100BaseT(X) and one additional multimode fiber optic connection with ST connector. The EDS-208A-M-ST supports Auto-Negotiation for speed adaptation between devices and Auto MDI/MDI-X, enabling cabling without additional crossover cables. Operation is in Full- or Half-Duplex mode, depending on network requirements. A Broadcast Storm Protection can be activated via DIP switches to prevent network overload caused by uncontrolled broadcast traffic. This function is particularly important in critical applications to ensure network stability.
