Moxa EDS-208A Series – Compact 8-Port Industrial Ethernet Switches for Harsh Environments

The EDS-208A Series by Moxa delivers compact, unmanaged Ethernet switches with 8 ports, designed for use in rugged industrial settings. Depending on the model, the switches offer up to 8 RJ45 copper ports and 1 or 2 fiber optic ports (SC/ST, multi-mode or single-mode).

With redundant 12/24/48 VDC power inputs (input range: 9.6–60 VDC), these devices are built for resilience and uptime. Housed in an IP30-rated aluminum case, they are ideal for DIN-rail mounting in control cabinets. Certified for hazardous locations (Class 1 Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2), transport systems (NEMA TS2, EN 50121-4, e-Mark), and marine environments (DNV, LR, ABS, NK), the switches are truly versatile.

-T models support a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 75°C, making them perfect for outdoor installations or unconditioned spaces. A built-in broadcast storm protection feature, enabled via DIP switch, adds another layer of network reliability.
