Moxa EDS-208A Series – Compact 8-Port Unmanaged Ethernet Switches for Industrial Applications

The EDS-208A Series from Moxa features rugged 8-port unmanaged Ethernet switches that provide stable connectivity for industrial applications in harsh environments. The switches support up to 8 copper ports (10/100BaseT(X) RJ45) and up to 2 fiber ports (100BaseFX) using SC or ST connectors, in both multi-mode and single-mode configurations.

Designed with dual redundant 12/24/48 VDC power inputs, an IP30 aluminum housing, and multiple certifications for hazardous, transportation, and maritime environments (including Class I Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2, EN 50121-4, NEMA TS2, DNV/LR/ABS/NK), these switches are ideal for railways, marine systems, and mobile infrastructure. The -T models are rated for extended temperature operation from -40 to 75 °C.

All models support broadcast storm protection, which can be activated via DIP switches for greater network stability. A 100% burn-in test ensures each unit is suitable for critical industrial applications.
