Moxa EDS-205A Series – Rugged 5-Port Ethernet Switches for Industrial Applications

The Moxa EDS-205A Series comprises compact, unmanaged 5-port Ethernet switches designed for reliable, maintenance-free operation in harsh industrial environments. Featuring 10/100BaseT(X) RJ45 ports and optional 100BaseFX fiber ports (multi-mode or single-mode, SC or ST), these switches support both copper and fiber connections for flexible deployment.

The switches are equipped with dual redundant 12/24/48 VDC power inputs and housed in an IP30-rated aluminum enclosure. Certified for use in hazardous locations (Class I Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2), transportation systems (EN 50121-4, NEMA TS2), and marine environments (DNV, LR, ABS, NK), they are built for mission-critical applications. -T models support -40 to 75 °C operating temperatures for deployment in extreme conditions.

DIP switches allow enabling/disabling Broadcast Storm Protection and Quality of Service (QoS), enhancing network traffic control. Additionally, the switches comply with PROFINET Conformance Class A (CC-A), making them suitable for integration into PROFINET automation systems.
