The ABC-01 series from Moxa is a compact, industrial-grade solution for automated backup and restoration of configuration data in networks. Automated configuration management
The ABC-01 enables secure storage of configuration data in an integrated flash memory with a capacity of 128 KB. These data can be automatically restored when needed, which is particularly beneficial during restart after a failure or system reset. The function is especially useful in environments where rapid restoration of network settings is critical, such as in production facilities or automation systems.

Power supply via serial interface
The unit is powered through the RTS signal of the RS-232 interface. The supply voltage is 3 to 5 VDC, enabling wireless power supply without an external source. This reduces the number of required connections and simplifies installation in existing enclosures.

Robust construction and mounting
The housing of the ABC-01 consists of PVC overmoulding and is certified with protection rating IP40, providing protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against splashing water from any direction. Dimensions are 32.5 x 97 x 12 mm, weight is 50 g. Mounting is done using M4 screws, with the hole depth being less than 4 mm. Cable length is 35 ±3 cm including connector, allowing flexible placement within the enclosure.

Operating environments and EMC compliance
The ABC-01 is designed for use in industrial environments. The operating temperature range is from 0 to 60 °C, while storage temperature can range from -40 to 85 °C. Humidity is 5 to 95 %, with condensation excluded. The unit meets EMC requirements according to industrial standards, including ESD (4 kV contact, 8 kV air), RS (10 V/m in the frequency range 80 MHz to 1 GHz), EFT (2 kV power, 1 kV signal), Surge (2 kV power, 1 kV signal), and CS (10 V). Additionally, it is certified according to EN 55032 Class A, CISPR 32, and FCC Part 15B Class A.

Compatibility and application areas
The ABC-01 is specifically designed for Moxa Ethernet switches and AWK wireless devices (APs, bridges, clients). Compatibility is limited to these device families, as configuration data is read and stored via the RS-232 console port. The unit is thus an integral part of the maintenance infrastructure in industrial networks where fast and reliable configuration restoration is required.
