This USB Y cable connects external USB 3.0 hard drives and enclosures to the computer. The additional USB Type A plug supplies more power when a single port is not sufficient. This provides data rates up to 5 Gb/s, while foil and braid shielding and the twisted-pair construction support low-interference transmission. Gold-plated contact pins in the plug minimize transmission errors.
