Structure:
Tinned copper wire, according to DIN VDE 0295 cl.5, fine-wire, BS 6360 cl.5, IEC 60228 cl.5
Core insulation made of silicone rubber
Core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 with white number print
Cores stranded in layers with optimal lay lengths
Outer sheath made of silicone rubber
Sheath color preferably red-brown with meter marking
Properties:
Advantages hardly any changes in dielectric strength and insulation resistance even at higher temperatures, high flash point, leaves behind insulating SiO2 in the event of fire
Resistant to high molecular oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, plasticizers and clophen, diluted acids, alkalis and salt solutions, oxidizing agents, tropical and weather influences, sea water, oxygen, ozone
. If installed permanently, only install in open, ventilated pipe systems or ducts. Otherwise, the mechanical properties of silicone will be reduced if there is no air in connection with temperatures above 90°C.
Tests:
Halogen-free according to DIN VDE 0482 Part 267, DIN EN 50267-2-2/ IEC 60754-2 (corresponds to DIN VDE 0472 Part 813)
Burning behavior no fire propagation according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1
Notes:
Shielded analogue type: SiHF-C-Si
Use:
Silicone cables are used wherever cable insulation is exposed to high temperature fluctuations. Due to their excellent weather resistance, silicone cables can be used at both high and low temperatures down to -60°C. Particularly for use in power stations. Also in iron and steel works, rolling mills, foundries, aircraft construction and shipbuilding, as well as in cement, glass and ceramics factories, in headlights and high-performance lamps and heating devices of all kinds. Due to the elastic properties of the core insulation, they are used as flexible connecting cables.
Standard lengths: 500 m, 1000 m
