KE7000 Set - LAN cable tester - pair of devices. The KE7000 cable testers are cost-effective test devices for patch, LAN and telecommunications cabling and, with the optional adapter, also for coaxial cables. Tests: telephone (RJ11), data (RJ45) and optionally coaxial cables. Tests for: continuity, interruption, short circuit, swapping, shielding, multiple errors. Pair of devices shows errors on both sides. Detection of active switches at the far end of the line. Clear display of the cable status. External voltage protection up to 60 V DC. Cost-effective and robust. Unshielded and shielded connection cables with twisted pairs (UTP and STP cables) in installed networks as well as patch cables can be tested and verified. Coaxial cables with BNC and F sockets can be tested for continuity using the RJ45 coaxial adapter. One device is automatically configured as the master and one as the slave. The advantage of using two main devices is that the status of the tests can be easily read on both devices, which simplifies and speeds up the measuring process. With a battery life of up to 100 hours, the measuring operation rarely needs to be interrupted. Errors that occur, such as mix-ups, interruptions, short circuits and shielding errors, are shown on the graphic displays of the devices. There is no need to laboriously write down flashing and illuminated LEDs. The KE7000 provides clear, fast and immediately evaluable status information on both sides on the LCD displays for cable lengths of up to approx. 150 m. If there is external voltage on the cables to be tested, a warning is issued and the polarity is displayed on which pins.
