ELECFREAKS Classroom Smart Pet Feeder Kit uses a micro:bit v2, an IOT:bit expansion board, an Octopus series PIR sensor, as well as a sonar:bit, a 180° 9g servo and a cute little wooden house as components.The working principle of the smart pet feeder is as follows: firstly, the PIR sensor is responsible for detecting whether a pet is approaching or not, secondly, the sonar:bit is used to detect whether the pet is within 20cm in front of the wooden house. When these two conditions are met, the servo drive rotates, causing the pet feeder box to dump out the pet food. After the process of dumping the pet food is completed, the servo returns to its original position and waits for the next feeding.This ELECFREAKS Classroom Smart Pet Feeder Kit aims to cultivate the innovation and practical ability of primary and secondary school students, while deepening students' understanding of programming by writing programs to control the work of the automatic feeder.
