When installing an escape door control system, the total cable length can quickly add up to several hundred meters. For larger systems with a cable length of 1000 meters or more (per BUS line), a BUS repeater must be installed. This BUS repeater amplifies the BUS signal, making it possible to create escape door BUS systems with cable lengths of several kilometers.|Another advantage of the BUS repeater is the galvanic isolation of the BUS line. This means that large systems can be divided up for installation purposes, e.g. per floor. In the event of a fault, the galvanic isolation means that only the affected line fails, while the rest of the BUS system remains fully functional.|A maximum of two bus repeaters can be connected in series. It is possible to connect several bus repeaters in parallel to separate lines.
