The DEHN EXFS L200 is an ATEX-certified Ex spark gap, specifically designed for use in explosive atmospheres of Zone 2 (gases). It provides safe lightning protection potential equalization in accordance with DIN EN 62305 / VDE 0185 and enables indirect connection or grounding of operationally separated system parts during lightning strikes. The spark gap prevents unwanted electrical connections during normal operation due to its construction, while reliably responding to overvoltages caused by lightning strikes. The proven design with flexible conductor connection ensures a robust and reliable installation. With a lightning impulse current withstand capability of 50 kA (10/350 µs) and a nominal discharge current of 100 kA (8/20 µs), it is designed for high energy loads. The IP54 protection rating ensures sufficient protection against dust and splashing water, making it suitable for outdoor use. The operating temperature range of -20 °C to +80 °C allows for flexible application in various environments.
