Self-welding high-voltage insulation tape up to 35 kV, a cold-welding insulation tape made of polyisobutylene, provided with an easily removable plastic separating layer. After processing, it is welded under slight tension to form a solid air- and watertight rubber layer, extremely stretchable (elongation at break 600%) and shape-adaptable, permanently elastic, compatible with all materials for insulation and sheathing, wide application temperature range, very good electrical properties (especially dielectric strength), UV, ozone, weather and ageing resistant. Ideal for sealing, splicing, insulating and repairing live cables, mainly for voltage insulation of power cables up to 17 kV, very good repair properties even on heavy rubber hose cables, for waterproof sealing of electrical connections and connectors (e.g. TV satellite dishes), for fastening cables outdoors, corrosion protection of metal parts, also excellent for emergency repairs to radiators, water and engine hoses, vacuum cleaner hoses, drain basins and pipes.
