Further information for CableEye / CAMI Research 730

The CableEye tester usually comes with a complete software application for production, incoming inspection and research and development. We also optionally offer an Application Programming Interface (API), a software library that allows the tester to be controlled by an external program. Using the API, test engineers can now write software for CableEye cable test systems in Visual Basic (VB6) or another software environment that supports our ActiveX control. We also offer a native .NET library that allows you to control the tester from a program written in VB.NET, C#, or another .NET-based language.
The API provides a library of software primitives that can be used to control all of the tester's basic functions. This allows engineers to embed the function of the tester into a larger system that can include electrical cable locks, label printers, pass-fail marking devices, diverter locks and automatic molding lines. Engineers can also write their own fully custom tester user interface for specific, simplified applications such as a touchscreen display.
The API software includes the development environment for creating custom control screens and integration with external software. The runtime modules created with this software can be used on all other CableEye testers in your company without additional license fees. We also provide you with the source code for several working examples that you can use as a reference or adapt to your needs. This option requires some programming knowledge. Location license.
