The A/B switching cards of the Pro-Switching System SM260 Series provide reliable and flexible switching between two RS232/RS530 or CAT6 connections, making them suitable for both modern and legacy network applications.

RS232 and RS530 A/B Switching Cards:
- Occupies three slots in the chassis.
- LEDs monitor TxD, RxD, RTS, and DCD signals at Ports A and B.
- 8-position DIP switch for individual card address setting.
- Locking function retains the last selected position in the event of a power failure, ensuring connection stability.
- Supports passthrough of all RS232 or RS530 signals for uninterrupted signal transfer.

CAT6 A/B Switching Card:
- Occupies one slot in the chassis.
- Supports network speeds up to 10 GbE.
- Locking feature for position retention during power outages, securing continuity.
- 8-pin RJ45 for universal Ethernet compatibility.
- 8-position DIP switch for card address configuration.

Application Flexibility:

The A/B switching cards are available for RS-232, RS-530, and CAT6 connections, making the Pro-Switching System suitable for both new and legacy applications. This enables seamless integration of modern and older technology in one system, with high-speed CAT6 10-GbE cards for modern networks and RS-232 cards for legacy connections.

Secure Fallback Switching:

For maximum failover reliability, all cards (except specified otherwise) use proprietary locking or micro-mirror relay technology, ensuring continuous data flow even during power loss. Layer-1 switching enables operation independent of data rates, protocols, formats, or signal levels.

Manual Switching:

Each chassis is equipped with a key switch for enabling or disabling manual control via front-panel switches, allowing flexible operation.
