The Async RS232 to RS422/485 Interface Converter – DB9 to Terminal Block enables async RS232 to RS422/485 conversion at data rates up to 115.2 kbps and distances up to 4000 feet over CATx cables. This versatile converter supports point-to-point and multipoint applications and can operate in 2-wire half-duplex or 4-wire half- or full-duplex modes. The RS485 driver is automatically enabled during each spacing state on the RS232 side, allowing connection of up to 32 RS485 devices, making it easy and cost-effective to expand to a large multidrop network.
