Product Description:

The Micro Mini Media Converter 1000FX is an optimal solution for extending Gigabit fiber networks to the desktop or for mobile applications where lightweight, compact dimensions, and low power needs are critical. Weighing just 70 grams and similar in size to a house key, this converter offers high portability while retaining powerful functionality. Its USB power option adds flexibility, enabling fiber connectivity in environments without access to AC or DC outlets, making it ideal for field-service fiber-to-laptop applications.

The converter provides a plug-and-play RJ-45 port with auto-negotiation for speed, duplex mode, and crossover detection for Ethernet connections at 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T. The fiber side is equipped with ST or SC connectors for singlemode or multimode fiber cables. Model LMC4000AE is designed for use with Gigabit SFPs compatible with Black Box’s 1250-Mbps SFPs (LFP411, LFP412, LFP413, LFP414) or any standard 1250-Mbps SFP.

The USB-powered Micro Mini Media Converter is an ideal fiber solution for areas with no available power outlets. When connected to a computer's USB port, it powers down automatically when the computer shuts off, saving energy.
