Compact DKM Extender Units:

Use these extender units with your DKM FX or DFM FXC switching system to connect user consoles and computers. These units can bridge distances of up to 140 meters over CATx, up to 1,000 meters over multimode fiber, or up to 10 kilometers over single-mode fiber. They deliver pixel-perfect video at resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 at 60 Hz with 24-bit color depth. USB HID keyboard and mouse interfaces with true USB emulation support extended functions. These extenders feature VGA or DVI-D inputs. High-speed models with 2.5 Gbps bandwidth are ideal for demanding video applications. Additional options include analog and digital audio, serial data, and USB 2.0 support with speeds of 36 or 480 Mbps.

Thanks to the compact, space-saving design, these extenders offer flexibility in installation. They support local monitoring with an optional splitter cable and can be rack-mounted in a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) enclosure (up to 4 units in 1U) or DIN rail-mounted. These extenders are perfect for use with KVM matrix switches from the DKM FX or DKM FSC series.

Superior DVI-D Video Quality
Thanks to digital transmission, image quality remains lossless. Advanced video compression algorithms enable smooth color gradients with 24-bit color depth and resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 at 60 Hz across the full distance. Interlaced video formats like 1080i are also supported. High-speed models offer double the normal bandwidth (2.5 Gbps) for graphic-intensive applications.

Distance Capabilities
These extenders can transmit signals up to 140 m via CATx cables, up to 1,000 m using 50-micron multimode fiber cables, or up to 500 m via 62.5-micron cables. Single-mode connections allow for crystal-clear images over distances up to 10 km.

USB HID
The extenders come in versions with two or four USB HID ports for keyboards, mice, and other HID devices. True USB emulation ensures full support for feature-rich USB keyboards and mice.

Transparent USB 2.0
Certain DKM extender models support transparent USB 2.0 for seamless integration with USB 2.0 devices. Models such as ACX1x 13-x or ACX1x-13HS-x support speeds up to 480 Mbps and provide up to 500 mA power per port.

RS232/V.24 and Audio
Models with serial and audio ports transmit data alongside video signals. Analog audio supports features like alarm transmission or CD-quality music. Bidirectional audio also allows microphone signals to be sent back to the workstation. RS232/V.24 transmission up to 19.2 Kbps enables the connection of devices like touch screens and graphic tablets.

Multiple Video Channels
Extenders are available with one or two DVI-D channels, making them suitable for setups with one or two monitors.

Analog Video Formats
In addition to DVI-D channels, VGA sources with resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 can be used.

Local Monitoring
An optional splitter cable provides a connection for a local DVI-D display.
