Compact DKM Extender Units

Use these extender units with your DKM FX or DFM FXC switching system to connect user consoles and computers. These units bridge distances of up to 140 meters over CATx, up to 1,000 meters over multimode fiber, or up to 10 kilometers over single-mode fiber. They deliver pixel-perfect video at resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 at 60 Hz with 24-bit color depth. USB HID keyboard and mouse interfaces, with true USB emulation, support extended functions. The units feature VGA or DVI-D inputs and high-speed models provide 2.5 Gbps bandwidth for demanding video applications. Additional options include analog and digital audio, serial data, and USB 2.0 support with speeds of 36 or 480 Mbps.

The extenders are compact and space-saving. They support local monitoring with an optional splitter cable and can be rack-mounted in a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) enclosure (up to 4 units in 1U) or mounted on a DIN rail. Ideal for KVM switches, digital signage, or industrial applications, these extenders come with a 2-year Double Diamond™ warranty (standard).

Superior DVI-D Video Quality
With digital signal transmission, the image quality remains lossless. Advanced video compression algorithms support 24-bit color depth for smooth gradients and resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 at 60 Hz across the full distance. Interlaced video, such as 1080i, is also supported. For graphics-intensive applications, high-speed models with 2.5 Gbps are available.

Distance Capabilities
Compact DKM extenders can transmit signals up to 140 meters via CAT52/6/7 cables, up to 1,000 meters via multimode fiber, or up to 10 kilometers with single-mode fiber, delivering crystal-clear images without loss.

USB HID
Versions with two or four USB HID ports for keyboards, mice, and other HID devices are available. True USB emulation provides full function support.

Transparent USB 2.0
These extenders also support transparent USB 2.0, allowing you to connect all types of USB 2.0 devices without restrictions. Models with USB 2.0 offer speeds up to 480 Mbps and support up to four USB devices like scanners or external hard drives.

RS232/V.24 and Audio
Models with serial and audio interfaces transmit these signals along with video. Bidirectional audio allows connection of a microphone to your workstation. Digital audio models provide enhanced sound quality, and RS232/V.24 serial data transmission (up to 19.2 Kbps) allows the connection of touch screens or graphic tablets.

Multiple Video Channels
Extenders are available with one or two DVI-D channels, and dual-head models are ideal for systems with two monitors.

Analog Video Formats
In addition to DVI-D, VGA sources with resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 can be used.

Local Monitoring
An optional splitter cable provides a local DVI-D display connection.
