The LRXI KVM Extender for industrial applications – DVI, USB 2.0, Audio, serial over fiber optics enables the transmission of DVI, USB 2.0, RS-232, and audio signals in industrial environments. It operates over a single LC fiber optic cable and provides a secure connection over long distances, allowing critical hardware to be placed in secure, climate-controlled environments. Depending on the type of fiber used, transmission distances range from 150 meters with OM2 multimode fibers to up to 4 kilometers with single-mode fibers.

The lossless dual-link DVI video extension supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz, making it ideal for real-time control and video surveillance applications. The extender also supports bidirectional analog audio transmission and extends RS-232 signals with RTS/CTS flow control. Its rugged metal casing is shock and vibration-resistant, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.

The extender supports two USB ports for HID devices and USB 2.0 peripherals, including storage devices, touchscreens, and isochronous devices. With intelligent EDID management, the extender ensures that the graphics card recognizes the optimal monitor settings. Thanks to SFP technology, you can swap out the SFP module to adapt the extender to different distance or cable requirements.

Secure web-based control and management are available via an RJ45 Ethernet management port. Access is provided through a protected web interface with HTTP Digest Authentication.
