The Wizard SRX Extender – DVI, USB 2.0, Audio enables the extension of single or dual-link DVI-D, USB 2.0, and audio signals over a distance of up to 50 meters using a single shielded CAT6/7 cable. It supports resolutions up to 1080p or 1920x1200 for Single-Link DVI and up to 2560x1600 for Dual-Link DVI, offering uncompromised transmission with no compression or delay – ideal for demanding applications such as image editing or simulations.

The extender features a 4-port USB hub on the receiver, allowing the connection of USB HID and USB 2.0 devices. The transparent USB extension with a speed of 12 Mbit/s supports isochronous devices such as storage media, touchscreens, and tablets. In addition to video and USB extension, the Wizard SRX enables the transmission of analog and digital embedded audio, with CD-like audio quality of 16-bit at 44.1 kHz.

With the 256-byte EDID read and store function, the extender reads monitor settings and passes them to the graphics card for optimal display. The extender is available in models with one or two Single-Link DVI channels or a model with one Dual-Link DVI channel.

Using only a shielded CAT6/7 cable, the extender can transmit both peripheral signals and uncompressed DVI video signals up to 50 meters. For models with two Single-Link DVI channels, a second CATx cable is required to transmit both channels. The transmitter can be powered through the PC interface or via an optional external power supply (PS649-R3).

The compact design of the extender also allows for 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) rack-mounting. The Wizard chassis (ACU5000A) can hold up to 16 Single-Video or eight Dual-Video units.
