The Wizard SRX Extender – DVI, USB 2.0, Audio extends single or dual-link DVI-D, USB 2.0, and audio signals up to 50 meters over a single shielded CAT6/7 cable. It supports maximum resolutions of 1080p or 1920x1200 for Single-Link DVI and up to 2560x1600 for Dual-Link DVI – without compression or latency, making it ideal for applications such as image editing and simulations.

A 4-port USB hub on the receiver allows connection of USB HID and USB 2.0 devices. With transparent USB extension of 12 Mbit/s, isochronous devices like storage media, touchscreens, and tablets are supported. The extender also supports analog and embedded digital audio, enabling the connection of audio devices such as headphones in CD quality (16-bit, 44.1 kHz).

Thanks to the 256-byte EDID read and store function, monitor information is read and transmitted to the graphics card for optimal image display. Models are available for both Single-Link and Dual-Link DVI. The extender can be powered through the PC interface or via an optional external power supply.

With just one CAT6 cable, the Wizard SRX Extender transmits peripheral signals and uncompressed DVI-D video signals. Models with two Single-Link DVI channels require a second CATx cable for transmitting both channels. Rack-mounting is also possible, as the compact design allows up to 16 Single-Video or eight Dual-Video units to fit into a 48,3 cm ( 19 inch ) Wizard chassis.
