The Agility Extender enables the powerful extension of DVI video, audio, USB HID, USB 2.0, and RS-232 signals over a Gigabit network in real-time. This allows critical hardware components to be placed in secure, climate-controlled environments away from the workstation, while still maintaining a perfect desktop experience.

Flexible Media Options:

In addition to the CATx connection, Agility also offers an SFP port for fiber extensions. Use the CATx interface for extensions up to 100 meters. For longer distances, you can use a Gigabit Ethernet switch to extend the range by another 100 meters. You can also equip the SFP port with multimode fiber for distances up to 500 meters or singlemode fiber for distances up to 10 km.

Perfect, Color-Accurate Video:
Agility can deliver pixel-perfect HD video along with accompanying peripheral signals to any remote user. Three models are available: the Single Link Agility (ACR1000A-R2) extends a single-link DVI channel with resolutions up to 1920x1200/1080p. The Agility Dual DH (ACR1020A) supports two single-link DVI channels, while the Agility Dual DL and Dual VNC (ACR1002A/ACR1012A-T) can extend either one dual-link DVI channel with resolutions up to 2560x1600 or two Full HD single-link DVI channels.

For demanding video applications, Agility Extender can be configured using bandwidth aggregation to support resolutions up to 1080p or RGB 4:4:4 with 60 fps. Intelligent EDID management allows the actual characteristics of the display to be returned to the computer, ensuring perfect video quality without additional configuration.

Teaming for Redundancy and Bandwidth Aggregation:

Agility Extenders support teaming (two MAC addresses per device), enabling two independent 1 GB Ethernet connections. Establish one connection via the CATx link and the second via the SFP port with the appropriate SFP transceiver. The devices automatically switch to the second network port if a failure is detected, providing full redundancy.

Alternatively, use the second connection for bandwidth aggregation to enable throughput of up to 2 GB. Load balancing can maintain 60 fps on a 1920 x 1200/1080p or RGB4:4:4 display, even if every single pixel is in motion. When using two screens displaying different content, 30 fps is guaranteed.

USB 2.0:

In addition to supporting mass storage devices, Agility Extenders support a wide variety of USB devices, from mouse and keyboard to graphic tablets, jog/shuttle controls, joysticks, and 3D explorers.

Out-of-Band Remote Access:

The Agility Dual VNC (ACR1012A-T) offers an additional RJ-45 management port for remote access to the BIOS level via VNC or Java for system control and emergency recovery. Out-of-band system control reduces potential downtime by providing faster service options and reduces the need for on-site maintenance.
