The iPATH Controller is the core management device for building and managing an Agility-based KVM-over-IP switching and extension network. It connects multiple Agility extenders within a local area network (LAN), enabling both crosspoint switching and point-to-point extension to create a flexible KVM matrix system using standard Ethernet—no proprietary switching technology required.

The iPATH management system controls transmitters, receivers, users, passwords, and access rights from a single centralized IP-based interface. When combined with Agility transmitters and receivers, iPATH allows multiple users to securely access multiple host systems located in a centralized, secure environment. One or more administrators can easily manage thousands of users and devices through the intuitive web interface.

The Agility system supports pixel-perfect HD video, audio, USB, and serial signals. Its IP-based design allows for easy scalability—adding new users and endpoints is simple and seamless. Since the system operates over a managed IP switch, setup and long-term maintenance are straightforward.

iPATH comes pre-configured as a compact, self-contained server with its own DHCP capability. It requires only a power connection and network cable to start. All device, user, and channel configurations are performed via the web-based interface on a connected computer.

Each channel in iPATH functions as a virtual transmitter, enabling flexible signal source routing—for example, using video from one source and audio from another. A powerful grouping system (User Groups, Receiver Groups, Channel Groups) makes it easy to apply shared permissions. Active Directory integration further simplifies administration by automatically syncing user credentials and group memberships.

Admins can manage all user accounts, access permissions, and hotkey login configurations. They can view active sessions and even force users to switch to specific endpoints in real time.
