Nowadays, space in the server room is becoming increasingly scarce, while maintenance costs are rising. Therefore, administrators are increasingly looking for solutions that reduce both costs and space requirements. ATEN's KVM switches with built-in LCD screen are a space-saving, compact KVM solution that includes an LCD screen, a full-key keyboard and a touchpad and fits into a 1U rack in a 19-inch cabinet.
Thanks to its built-in 19-inch LED-backlit screen, the CL1316 KVM switch allows convenient control and monitoring of up to 16 computers from a single console (keyboard, screen, mouse). Up to 16 additional switches can be cascaded with the device to manage up to 256 computers from a single KVM console.
Installation is child's play: just connect the cables to the appropriate ports. The switch supports computers with both PS/2 and USB ports. The CL1316 processes keyboard input directly - therefore no further software configuration is required. Switching between the connected computers can be done manually by pressing the front pushbuttons with port LED indicators, by entering hotkey combinations via the keyboard or via a multilingual on-screen display (OSD). A single console can control up to 256 computers by cascading 2 levels of up to 16 switches
