Using the special cord, the weather balloon is connected to the parachute and then the Styrofoam probe is attached. The line is extremely tear-resistant and resilient, but is still easy to knot and is delivered on a 50 m roll. The tear strength of the special cord is less than 230N and therefore meets the official regulations of the German Air Traffic Control and the Federal Aviation Authority.
