High temperature resistant Kapton adhesive tape (can be used up to 350 °C for short periods). Kapton adhesive tape is flame-retardant and resistant to radiation and chemicals. The polyimide film is dimensionally stable over a wide temperature range and is used, among other things, in the electronics and circuit board industries.
This film is used in 3D printing to enable better adhesion of the prints to the print bed. Due to the mechanical stress on the 3D model to be printed, it can happen that it detaches from the print bed and the printout has to be repeated. In conjunction with this tape, the error rate is greatly reduced. The high mechanical strength of the film also improves the surface structure of the print.
