The PTC resistor (Positive Temperature Coefficient), on the other hand, changes its value with the temperature gradients. For example, if the temperature increases, the electrical resistance also increases. In German, PTC resistors are therefore also called PTC resistors. At room temperature the resistance value is 10kOhm. It is well suited as a temperature sensor in the range from -10°C to 40°C, as the change in resistance per temperature change is very sensitive.
