The DS3231 module is an accurate IIC real time clock (RTC), with integrated temperature - Crystal oscillator (TCXO) and crystal.
Queries: seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month and year.
Date is automatically adjusted, including corrections for leap years.
The clock operates in either the 24 hour or AM/PM mode 12 hour format. The module offers two configurable “alarm clocks” and a calendar.
The square wave output is programmable. Address and data are transmitted bidirectionally serially via an IIC or I2C bus. A precision temperature-compensated
reference voltage and a comparator circuit monitors the status of the VCC to quickly detect a power failure. The IC has an integrated very precise digital
temperature sensor that can be queried via the i2C interface.
The module has a battery.
