Further information for AIZO digitalSTROM IC glass sensor - X-IC-74-0001
The dS glass break sensor is a passive piezo sensor. It is used to detect glass breakage and, in conjunction with the dS Alarm 400 module, makes this information available to the digitalSTROM system. The sensor is fixed to the pane using the adhesive included in the delivery. The sensor cable, approx. 1.8 meters, is connected to one of the four lines of the alarm module. The alarm module is installed in a flush-mounted box and can process up to four glass break sensors or, for example, 2 glass break sensors and two window contacts. The correctly connected sensor cable is displayed on the alarm module using a respective LED. The glass break sensor with dimensions of 18x18 mm works with low voltage and is galvanically isolated from the mains for safety reasons. Since the sensor works according to the closed-circuit current principle, a defective, torn or severed supply cable is also detected. This ensures constant self-monitoring of the sensors. Because each connected sensor has its own dSlD, the digitalSTROM system also provides an exact assignment of the window. An alarm message from the sensor can be used via the dS Scene Responder to trigger internal or external alarms in the dS system.
