Further information for ABUS RM1100 - OptiHeat thermal differential detector 12V
The thermal differential detector detects fires and fires that are starting. It reacts to a maximum temperature and a temperature increase. These indicators are reliably detected and reported to the alarm center. The thermal differential detector is mounted on the ceiling in the middle of the room. The minimum distance to the side wall is 30cm. Since the thermal differential detector - unlike optical smoke detectors - does not detect smoke, it is mainly used in places with high levels of dust and smoke (kitchens, smoking rooms, garages). The detector only triggers an alarm when a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius is exceeded or the temperature rises by more than 5 degrees Celsius within 3 minutes. By adjusting a jumper, you can configure it as a NO or NC detector. This means it fits any wired alarm system. The thermal differential detector is supplied externally with 12V operating voltage and is EN54 certified.
