It reacts to the specific sound of breaking window panes. Glass breakage is detected and reported to the alarm center. The wireless glass break detector has a sensor that monitors the entire room. It should be aimed directly at the window area to be monitored. The best position is around 2-3 meters from the glass front, the maximum distance is 9 meters. Depending on the noise from the immediate area and the 'window environment' (curtains, flowers, internal shutters, burglar-resistant glass, etc.), the range of the detector can also be reduced. The wireless glass break detector reacts to the sound frequency that is created when glass clinks (low and high frequency sound components). This happens in two stages: a steep increase in amplitude as the glass breaks and a weakened amplitude triggered by the impact of the falling glass shards. First the glass breaks, then the impact of the shards: the wireless glass break detector only triggers an alarm if these criteria are met. This prevents false alarms.
