Glass fiber fabric tape 27 is a 0.178 mm woven insulating tape with a pressure-sensitive, heat-curing rubber adhesive. The adhesive tape is designed for use in dry 600-volt applications that require high mechanical strength and resistance to high temperatures. The adhesive is specially developed and prepared for corrosion protection.
Glass fiber fabric tape 27 can withstand a breakdown voltage of 3,000 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulation class B. This makes it ideal for insulating electrical components that emit a lot of heat and as a protective wrapping against heat radiation. Like all glass fabric tapes, it is particularly tear- and abrasion-resistant. This ensures long-term functionality even under high mechanical stress, such as in electric motors. Due to its elasticity, the insulating tape coated with a heat-curing rubber adhesive adapts excellently to various substrates. At the same time, the printable fabric structure ensures excellent absorption of resins and paints.
