Further information for 3M 2131 C (7000092519)
Flame Retardant Composite 2131 is a 2-part polyurethane resin suitable for low voltage electrical insulation between two terminals and for replacing cable jackets when splicing or repairing tow or cable harnesses. This durable casting resin features a unique formulation that makes it particularly suitable for the adverse conditions in which tow and cable harnesses are used. The high dielectric strength ensures very good electrical insulation through the resin.
Flame Retardant Composite 2131 has a low gel temperature to ensure curing at room temperature. The high tensile strength of the resin results in a semi-flexible consistency and good adhesion after curing. The casting resin is ideal for applications that require particularly good resistance to thermal shock and mechanical impact. The high flash point eliminates the risk of fire due to rapid ignition. The flame retardant resin allows you to electrically insulate cable splices up to 1 kV and seal forks or jackets when terminating multi-core cables. RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant.
